The 2026 Ford E-Transit's design is all about utility. Featuring a roomy and rectilinear shape, it prioritizes function and offers plenty of options for customization. The full-size electric van is available in two body lengths and three roof heights, with up to 536.4 cubic feet of interior volume. For 2026, Ford has given the E-Transit a digital refresh with a new architecture that allows over-the-air updates, adds a 5G modem, and includes a standard 12-inch center display with SYNC 4 infotainment. The van now features updated exterior badging and refreshed taillights, while maintaining the clean, utilitarian aesthetic that makes it easy to brand and customize for commercial fleets. The Ford E-Transit also gets an HVAC heat pump system as standard equipment for 2026.
Ford E-Transit Performance
The 2026 E-Transit is powered by a 266-horsepower electric motor that drives the rear wheels and produces 317 pound-feet of torque, drawing power from an 89.0-kWh lithium-ion battery. While a 0-60 mph time of 8.4 seconds isn't blistering, the more important figure for urban delivery work is the Ford E-Transit's 0-30 mph sprint of just 3.7 seconds. This makes it nimble and responsive in city traffic where most commercial vans spend their time. Ford estimates the E- Transit offers up to 159 miles of driving range on a full charge. The van is capable of DC fast-charging from 10% to 80% in about 28 minutes or can fully charge in approximately 8 hours on a standard Level 2 charger. Payload capacity reaches up to 3,696 pounds depending on configuration.
