For those looking for a more robust option, the other powertrain is a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that is assisted by an electric motor and also includes a CVT transmission.

Top Speeds

The standard 2.0L engine on the 2024 Maverick can generate up to 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. That translates to a top speed of 121 mph and a surprisingly quick 0 to 60 time of only 6.7 seconds. The Hybrid powertrain, although much more fuel efficient, only generates 191 horsepower. The top speed and 0 to 60 time is also lower than the standard powertrain. However, both engine options provide plenty of peppiness for this small pickup truck.

MPG

In the standard powertrain for the 2024 Maverick, you can expect to get 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway with front-wheel drive. Opting for all wheel drive only bumps those numbers down by one to 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The most impressive fuel economy comes from the hybrid powertrain which can achieve 42 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Both powertrains do promise to deliver better than expected fuel economy for a pickup truck.

Interior

Crew cabs are standard across all of the Maverick models, which means that four full-sized doors provide plenty of room on the inside. There are so many storage compartments and cubbies all around, that you might not know what to do with them all! The base models include some nice features like a telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, remote keyless entry, and adjustable lumbar support for the front seats. The higher trims include more luxury features like dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, and power front seats. For being such a small pickup, the bed on the 2024 Maverick still has plenty of space for lots of cargo.
