It’s also paired exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The standard four-cylinder is available with either a 10-speed automatic or a seven-speed manual transmission, with four-wheel drive standard either way. In testing, Ford Bronco models needed between 6.2 and 7.4 seconds to reach 60 mph depending on engine and transmission configuration. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds, with a base curb weight of 4,705 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 1,015 pounds. There are also up to seven different G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) so you’re ready for any and all conditions.

The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport features a squared-off profile enhanced by a redesigned grille and slimmer LED headlights. The SUV showcases bolder styling with a more aggressive front end featuring a bulging hood and pronounced wheel arches, creating a muscular stance that emphasizes its rugged character. For 2026, new color options include Orange Fury and Space White, while a new Bronze Package option features Sinister Bronze accents on wheels, grille lettering, and interior elements. The exterior maintains the iconic boxy Ford Bronco Sport silhouette with raised roof rails and available steel-plated bumpers. Special editions like the Heritage model pay tribute to classic Bronco styling with retro graphics and Oxford White accents.
Ford Bronco Sport Performance
The 2026 Bronco Sport offers two EcoBoost engine options paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission: a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder producing 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. The base engine accelerates from 0-60 mph in about 8.2 seconds, while the more powerful 2.0-liter engine achieves this in 5.9 seconds. All Ford Bronco Sports come standard with all-wheel drive, and the available Advanced 4x4 with twin-clutch rear-drive unit can send torque to a single rear wheel even when the other three wheels have no traction. The vehicle features up to seven G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) for different driving conditions.
