He started his journey with supercars in 1968 when he painted his 1956 Porsche “Eggshell Blue” and added some mighty horsepower– now that’s a hell of a way to get into the automotive industry! As a race car driver himself, in 1973 Saleen won his first race in a Shelby Ford Mustang. Not even a year later he began his professional racing career. The First Saleen Vehicles
Over 5 decades later, Saleen continues to bring its vision to the streets. Building race car performance into car models we know and love.
