The new Ford Bronco will be based on the Ranger, but this test mule vehicle is a modified F-150 Raptor. And it doesn’t seem like Ford intends to release this special short wheelbase F-150. The Ford Bronco test mule is simultaneously cute and tough. One of the distinguishing characteristics of the original Ford Bronco was the condensed but tall proportions that made it an effective off-road vehicle.

Ford is committed to this new iteration of the Bronco having at least roughly similar proportions. The basic bumpers on the front and year of this Ford bronco test vehicle are a welcome alternative to the expensive and fragile plastic bumper caps that easily get scratched and cracked.

The big takeaway from this mule is the general size and proportions of the new Bronco, and both of these characteristics are spot on. It is not expected that these body panels to remain on the production model, though. Hopefully a unique front end will be designed for the Bronco, ideally with rounder headlamps. This is a fun mule, but unfortunately this mule is destined to be crushed.
