Exterior
The 2023 Super Duty lineup will have seven different grille designs that vary according to the trim levels and appearance packages. Additionally, there will be all new design packages to choose from which will offer even more rim, trim, and paint combinations than before. The XL Off-Road package is one of our favorites, including 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, and electronic locking rear diff; this package will have all you need and more when it comes to heavy-duty capability. Every model will now also have the option to be fitted with LED headlights, but the most noticeable exterior upgrade will be the trucks’ C-shaped lighting elements.
Interior
No detail has gone unnoticed on the inside of the 2023 Super Duty trucks either, you’ll have to step inside to see many of the most significant upgrades. The trucks will receive an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will be a standard feature beginning with the XL model. Although, higher trim levels will receive an even more massive 12.0-inch system.
There’s nothing better than cruising down the road while listening to your favorite tunes so if having an impressive sound system is crucial for you, then you’re in luck! Drivers can choose from a 640-watt, eight-speaker B&O sound system or a more intense 1080-watt, 18 speaker B&O system. Some other notable features that are available include a configurable 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster, a wireless charging pad, and a slot in the center console intended to hold a table upright. Perhaps the most comfortable feature is the Super Duty’s optional Max Recline Seats. These seats can lay almost flat with a lower cushion that rises to fit your most comfortable lying position.
Tech
Ford certainly did not hold back on the tech upgrades in the 2023 Super Duty trucks. For starters, this will be the first time they are available with a 5G wireless connection that will allow up to 10 devices to connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot, accept over-the-air updates, and improve the infotainment performance. Some trucks will also be available with a 2.0-kW onboard generator and a head-up display. Some new driver-assist features will be introduced as well, including adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go functionality, lane-centering assist, along with front and rear emergency braking to help prevent collisions with objects at low speeds.
Towing will be made easier than ever before with the Ford Super Duty. It will have high-tech assists making the job of pulling large loads much simpler. Onboard scales will now give drivers an estimated cargo weight and guide users on how to evenly distribute the trailer’s tongue weight. In addition to this, the Super Duty will have an option for a 360-degree camera system designed for trailers and navigation that shows routes to accommodate your trailer’s dimensions and weight. Last but not least, Ford has introduced a camera in the top of the tailgate and integrated parking sensors to make backing up with the tailgate down a breeze.
Powertrain
The Super Duty trucks will come equipped with a new, standard gas-powered 6.8-liter V-8 engine, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can also expect some upgrades to the previous 7.3-liter V-8 engine with revised tuning and improved air intake. Additionally, Power Stroke diesel 6.7-liter V-8 engine will have a new high-output version with upgraded tuning, an updated turbocharger, and revised exhaust manifolds. These upgrades will likely make the 2023 Ford Super Duty pickup trucks the most powerful in their class. As a bonus, every model starting with the XLT will come standard with four-wheel drive.

Speed
Drivers will absolutely love the utter speed the VelociRaptor delivers. The VelociRaptor possesses an astounding 558 horsepower and 672 lb-ft of torque while the Raptor has only 510 lb-ft of torque. So when comparing the speed between the two, the VelociRaptor undoubtedly takes precedence. In just a mere 4.2 seconds, the VelociRaptor can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph, and in 12.9 seconds it can reach a quarter mile. The speed of this truck could be better compared to that of a sports car. The VelociRaptor is fun to drive, to say the least.
Exterior Design
Although the VelociRaptor 600 looks similar to the Ford F-150 Raptor, there are a few details that make it stand out. As for the front and rear bumpers, they have been given a sleek looking upgrade with integrated LED lights. Truck lovers will also appreciate the addition of its huge 20-inch Hennessey wheels. Although, perhaps the most widely-loved detail about the VelociRaptor is the massive size of the truck itself. The statute of this beast is absolutely staggering. From the stylish appearance to the massive size, the VelociRaptor’s design deserves a standing ovation!
Off Road Abilities
Not only is this truck an absolute beauty, but you can also push its durability to the test. Shelby GT500 – The King Has Returned

In December of 2021, Shelby America, a fully owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc., made a huge announcement inside the Segerstrom Shelby Event Center in Irvine California for the company’s 60th anniversary. The subsidiary announced that one of its most beloved vehicles, the Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang would return in 2022 to honor this milestone for the company. Only a limited number of 60 “King of the Road” post-title packages with 900+ horsepower will be available worldwide for the 2020-2022 model year Shelby GT500’s from Shelby American.
Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American reflected on the history of his company: “Sixty years ago, Shelby American and Ford Motor Company collaborated on their first car, the Shelby Cobra. That resulted in racing championships, victories over Ferrari at Le Mans and amazing Shelby Cars based on the Ford Mustang.” Continuing, Joe spoke of the vehicle manufacturer’s present story, which offers “a lineup of Ford-based Shelby trucks and cars and have begun exploring eclectic vehicles. Every 2022 model year vehicle we build will wear a 60th anniversary badge to symbolize our heritage and bright future, beginning with the Shelby GT500KR.”
A Look Back At The Shelby GT500
This comeback marks only the third time in history that a version of the Shelby GT500 has been appointed the “King of the Road” label. The first time was in 1968, when the Shelby mustang was powered by the new 428 Cobra Jet V-8 that was moderately rated at 335 horsepower. The model was set with modified suspension, redesigned front and rear end, custom fiberglass hood and Thunderbird tail lights. A functional roll ball and wood-rimmed steering wheel was added by Shelby. Offered in both fastback and convertible, Ford dealers sold 1,570 GTR500KR models in 1968 (1053 fastbacks and 517 convertibles).
In 2008, the “King of the Road” returned when Ford and Shelby brought the model back in 2008. Its supercharged V-8 produced 540 horsepower, which was 40 more than the standard GT500. The model also included a short-throw shifter, 3.73:1 rear axle and unique wheels, tires and suspension settings. The Ford Shelby set itself apart with a special composite hood with push button pins, unique stripes, and badges. Only 1,000 cars were produced that year, but demand was so large that Ford and Shelby built an additional 712 cars for 2009.
“Shelby American vice president Vince LaViolette and I were deeply involved with the Ford Performance team for the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR program, and I also own a 1968 model,” claimed Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American. “We’re committed to ensuring the third-generation model is worthy of the iconic ‘King of the Road’ crown. Our program team includes experts at Ford Performance and key suppliers, as well as specialists like Shelby Gt500 factory development driver Billy Johnsons… From its initial design to final performance specs, the Shelby Gt500KR will live up to the name.”
About the Shelby GT500
The Mustang KR is based on the impressive 2020-2022 Ford Shelby Gt500, boasting 140+ extra horsepower, dry carbon fiber hood, new wheels, tires, suspension tuning, interior, badges, and more. Only 180 total (60 per model year) of the 900+ horsepower cars will be available in the USA, with 45 available overseas.
“The current Shelby GT500 already has amazing capabilities”, Vince LaViolette, Shelby American Vice President of the Operations and Chief of R&D claimed. “We’re taking it to an entirely new level for the extreme driver. We integrated a new supercharger and coolers. Then, turned the 5.2-liter V8 to churn out 900 plus horsepower on pump gas. The KR has more aggressive adjustable springs, Ford Performance sway bars and a new aggressive suspension tune. The exhaust was reworked to be even bolder. We sliced 30 pounds off with an ultra-light dry carbon fiber hood that delivers even more cooling. An optional wide body version is even available.”
Membership in Team Shelby, the worldwide Carroll Shelby club established in 2008, and documentation in the official Shelby Registry will be included with each car.
First Shelby Available
On January 29, the first production car was auctioned at No Reserve by the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company in Scottsdale. Proceeds from the sale benefitted the Carroll Shelby Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The winning bidder was allowed to choose from any standard Ford color on the Shelby GT500KR.
According to Aaron Shelby, Board Member of Carroll Shelby International and co-President of the Carroll Shelby Foundation, “My grandfather, Carroll Shelby was often called the ‘King of the Road’ for pushing the performance envelope both on and off the track. He was proud of his company’s relationship with Ford Motor Company and was passionate about supporting philanthropic causes. We’re pleased that the first 2022 Ford Shelby Foundation. Together, we’ve raised millions of dollars for charity through the years by giving collectors the rare opportunity to own a very unique and valuable vehicle.”
The production for the GT500KR began in the first quarter of this year. Owners of 2020 and 2021 model year Shelby Mustangs can contact Shelby American about transforming their car into a KR as well. Orders for 2022 model year cars will be accepted and they will also be decorated anniversary badges.

NEW YORK- Less than a year ago Ford shook up the world with a simple test drive. It just happened to be the president of the United States who was behind the wheel, but more importantly, it was what he was driving that really had people really excited.
The vehicle was Ford’s all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck. Having the president unveil the prototype was a stroke of genius that is still paying dividends today as the first wave is set to hit the streets.
“We revealed the F-150 Lightning last May and since then we’ve got over 200,000 reservations for it,” said Dan Barbossa, who is with Ford Communications. “We’re in production now and then we’ll be delivering to customers this Spring. So, everybody’s really excited about it when you electrified the best selling vehicle in the United States, it’s going to cause some excitement.”
Barbossa was at the 2022 New York International Auto Show introducing the Lightning to media and dealership representatives on April 13. Since the New York show was canceled last year, this was the truck’s first public showing at the most important car show of the year.
Ford Put The Best Parts Of The F-150 In It’s All-Electric Truck
Barbossa realizes his most important job is to show customers that everything they love about the standard F-150 will still be part of the Lightning.
“Basically what we did is we’re taking the F-150, all that’s great about it,” Barbossa said. “The toughness, the smartness, the capability of it, and we’re electrifying and making it better. As you saw in the front, we have this big mega power frunk that has 400 pounds of capacity. It can fit me in there. If you wanted to, it can fit two suitcases, two golf bags.”
Ford officials understand there will be some hesitancy from long-time F-150 drivers. When they open the hood and see nothing but added storage space, it may feel different.
However, Barbossa highlighted the advantages that come with an all-electric F-150.
“We know range anxiety is going to be an issue but a lot of people do not travel on the daily more than 60 miles. So if you have a charging station at home, this should not be a problem at all,” Barbossa said. “ And it’s very easy to do a charging station at home. We have the ability for, I think it’s maybe $600 you can install a 240-volt charging station in your home. That means you’re getting a full tank of gas or electricity every night while you’re sleeping. And we have the Ford Blue Oval Charging Network. That is probably one of the largest in the country. By using charge point and other sorts of partners to kind of extend that so people don’t have that range of anxiety when they’re making bigger trips.”
Ford Lightning Is More Than Just An EV
The Lightning is more than just an electric vehicle though. It comes with all the frills and necessities Ford customers have come to expect and a few they didn’t.
“If you look in the interior of it, it kind of looks like a regular F-150. That is until you see that big 17-inch touchscreen in there, which looks amazing,” Barbossa said. “And now it comes with Blue Cruise, which is our hands-free driving technology with that. So, if you’re on Blue Cruise map roads, you’re able to take those hands off the wheel while the vehicle actually monitors your eyes to make sure you’re not texting and driving, which you’re not supposed to be doing anyway.”
The Ford Lightning comes in four models: Pro, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum. Starting prices range from $39,900 to $90,000, depending on the model.
Ford wanted the Lightning to be a combination of the toughness of the F-150 with next-generation technology. It looks like they have done it.
“If you want to go to the mountains, if you want to tow your boat, if you want a take it grocery shopping, you can put all your groceries in that trunk. It’s amazing” Barbossa said. “The technology on it. You can use literally your phone to start the car. Precondition the vehicle so it’s ready to go for when you’re ready to go. The digital experience on this Ford F-150 Lightning is really what I would say I’m really excited about over all things.”

How To Change The Oil In Your Car
Changing the oil in your car is a very easy thing to do, which is also very easy to mess up. Here is a basic walkthrough on how to change the oil on your new car, without having to pay an inconvenient mechanic’s fee.
Stuff You Will Need
- Safety goggles
- Plastic sheeting
- Jack with jack stands
- Basic wrench set and an oil filter wrench
- Funnel
- An oil pan
- A rubber mallet
- Rags
- An oil filter (same as above)
- Oil filter gasket
- And a container to put the old oil in.
- Your cars engine oil (different cars take different oils, your car manual or a quick Google search should tell you what your car model needs)
To start things off, lay the plastic sheet out on the ground and drive your car over it, to help keep the oil off of the ground and make clean up a lot easier. MAKE SURE YOU ARE PARKED ON A LEVEL SURFACE AND THE PARKING BRAKE IS ENGAGED. Then jack up your car, set the stands in place and then lower the vehicle onto them. Keep all of your tools and things you’ll need in one place and close to you for easy access, and you’ll be ready to get to work.
Locate the oil drain plug underneath your vehicle and remove it to get the oil flowing out, and allow it to drain into the used oil container. This could take about 15 minutes. After the oil is drained, put the plug back in and tighten it securely. Now it is time to locate your oil filter, its location can vary based on your vehicle. Use your oil filter wrench to remove the old filter from your engine. The next step is to put on the new filter, but before doing so it is recommended you rub a little bit of the new oil around the gasket of the new filter and to pour a little of the new oil into the fresh filter, this will help prepare it to do its job efficiently. You can then attach the new filter, which can be done easily by hand.
We are now ready to put in the new oil! Find your engine’s oil fill hole and insert the funnel into it, securing it with a rag. Make sure you don’t spill any oil into the engine, and if you do, wipe it immediately. While adding the new oil, periodically check the dipstick until you’ve reached the marked level, and then secure the oil fill cap back on. Start your car and let it run for a few minutes to get the new oil cycled through the vehicle, and you will have successfully changed your car’s oil!
