Ford Logo For Market
  • For the first time in history, auto brand Ford passed its rival at the end of 2021 for highest market value.
  • This award is highly the result of the new CEO, Jim Farley who put a big focus on maximizing sales and the electric future of Ford.
  • Find a Ford for sale at Metro Ford of OKC.

If you’re one to follow the stock market in any capacity, you can understand the fluctuation of market value and stock pricing. A lot of people put in good time and work to predict what is going to happen with these things, but at the end of the day, people are unpredictable which makes the stock market just as unpredictable.

At the end of 2021, for the first time since 2016, Ford surpassed its rival, General Motor Co., with a market value of $83 billion. This is just barely ahead of the competing $82.9 billion, but Ford shares have more than doubled this last year alone, pushing them ahead of the competition. Who do we have to thank for this?

New CEO to Push Market Change

In October of 2020, the hat of “CEO” was placed on Jim Farley, succeeding Jim Hackett. Some weren’t sure of Farley, maybe because of his diverse background in the industry? Either way, Farley has proven all the ‘haters’ wrong! In his first year in this role, “the automaker has made attention-grabbing moves that signaled [his] ambition to lead the automotive industry’s electric and digital future.” Farley has been described as a servant-leader, even spending his spare time serving people experiencing homelessness. – The Detroit News

With that servitude and “go-get-em” attitude, Ford shares rose about 100% during Farley’s first year heading up the company. He has accelerated Ford’s push into electric vehicles and even sold out the first year of the F-150 electric pickup truck. He has debuted his spring plans to produce 600,000 electric vehicles by 2024.

Who Backs This?

Ford Motor Co.’s Executive Chair Bill Ford, exercised his stock options at the end of 2021. He bought 2 million shares of Ford Motor Co.’s common stock. His receipt showed a total cost of approximately $20.5 million… That’s not something I would consider to be easy pocket change.

But what does that mean? His decision to buy that much stock reflects Bill Ford’s confidence in the future of Ford Motor Co. and its leader. A professor at the University of Michigan, Erik Gordon, explained that ‘Investors often interpret buying by an insider as a vote of confidence, […] Many Ford executives seem confident in the company’s near-term future and its long-term EV (electric vehicle) future.’

The Rivalry For The Market

Because of this ongoing rivalry between General Motors and Ford, they have dominated the pickup truck industry together and helped motivate each other to keep going and think outside the box. Even with the Covid-19 pandemic hitting, their prolonged period of prosperity barely took a hit.

It’s an easy rivalry to have considering both headquarters are in Detroit, Michigan. The long-sparring competitors think outside of the box to gain bragging rights of being the best.

In 2012, General Motors aired a commercial that suggested Ford’s trucks would not survive an apocalypse while General Motors’ would and because of this, Ford threatened to sue the opposing company. In the fall of 2020, General Motors claimed to have a new, revamped heavy-duty pickup truck with “best in class” towing capability and Ford publicly disputed the claim.

2021 Ford Bronco at Sunset
  • The Ford Bronco is back after 25 years on the shelf, waiting for an off-road adventure.
  • Torture-tested is just part of the Bronco performance testing that it endures, making it one of the best off-roading vehicles on the market.
  • Find the Ford Bronco for sale at Metro Ford of OKC.

Finally! This is what we Ford fanatics have been waiting for! Move aside Jeep Wrangler, we’ve got a new off-roading champion vehicle. After 25 years in the dark, a quarter of a century, the Ford Bronco has decided to grace the automobile industry with an off-roading vehicle, with amazing features, as you’d only be able to dream about.

Which Ford Bronco model is your favorite? Every Ford lover has one! Was it the 1983 Muscle Car model seen in “Terminator 2” that served as Arnold Schwarzenegger companion for the film? Possibly, the charming 1970 model that was used as Keanu Reeve’s ride in “Speed”? Ooo! Or, maybe, it’s the rugged 1982 model seen in “No Country for Old Men”? Ford would like to invite you to get enamored with another version of the beloved, highly awaited vehicle, the 2021 Ford Bronco.

It’s Not Just a Bronco, but a Lifestyle

Imagine if the vehicle you drove not only knew your lifestyle but validated it! It’s no secret the Ford Bronco is a substantial choice for drivers who fearlessly indulge in their off-roading tendencies. Ford not only recognized that but gave their diehard Bronco fans some assistance. The FordPass App within the navigation system of the vehicle holds over 1,000 curated off-road trails for drivers to explore! When selecting a path to explore, the driver is given fundamental information like estimated time of completion, total distance, and difficulty rating. Within this information are also warnings about access rules and permits that the driver will need to ensure a safe trip.

These maps, coming with a satellite view option, cover all of North America. These trails were inspected and mapped by real people who also helped craft the software’s features. These “real people”, or the surveying teams on the task, took it a step further and have identified obstacles and waypoints that you’d encounter along the way! The application also gives you insight into the weather, up to 10 days ahead of your anticipated off-roading plans. (Huge benefit for our mountain explorer friends who want to get ahead of the swift weather shifts.) Looking to drift from the main trail? Bronco expected that and gave drivers the ability to guide themselves back to the trail if needed.

Positively Torture Tested

This Ford Bronco SUV, as Ford can proudly attest, was “torture-tested” to guarantee wild drivers a safer trip. But, wait, what does that mean? This 2021 Ford Bronco endured the infamous Baja 1000, one of the most rigorous off-roading endurance races. It was also tested through the “King of the Hammers” otherwise known as the Johnson Valley Desert. Ford strives to produce the utmost reliable SUVs that are “Built Ford Tough”, and this model only reinforces that. This Bronco model is one-step ahead of the sharp rocks, steel inclines, sharp drops, and fallen branches due it’s high bottom clearance.

Under the Hood

First, we have to start with what’s under the hood. You’ve got a  2.7-liter turbocharged V6 engine, with 300 horsepower! It has a manual transmission. Like any good off-road withstanding vehicle, it has four-wheel drive! This model has wheels that can withstand 33.5 inches of water. How? Its tire sizes are 30 inches and larger! It’s highly water-resistant with marine seat vinyl fabric in the seats, a durable rubber floor, and a drain system inside of the car! The 2021 Bronco has six packages that include the standard packaging, paired with their individual, upgrading features: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak!

You can list the Bronco’s sleek, ultra-stylish exterior as its first wow factor. You don’t like the design of the car? Awesome! Ford will happily assist in helping you customize your vehicle! Its highly efficient, removable pieces give the driver the option to switch out accessories at their convenience. The doors can be taken on and off with ease due to their built-in grab handles, and safely stored in the included protective bags! You won’t be confused about instructions because it comes with a QR scannable code that provides detailed instructions for both the two-door and, first-ever, four-door Bronco models. You can remove a section of your roof or the whole top! If you remove the roof from this 2021 Bronco, its halo-like opening will reveal from above! Even the grille is detachable, as well as fender flares and the fender itself!

Game-Changing Technology

This Bronco is here to guide you through your extreme outdoor adventures with the new “Terrain Management System.” This game-changing technology adjusts the vehicle’s performance for any kind of landscape! The Go Over Any Terrain or “G.O.A.T.” Modes include Normal, Slippery, Sport, Eco, Baja, Rock Crawl, Sand, and Mud/Ruts. The transmission, engine, steering, and driveline work cohesively to ensure you a smooth trip, regardless of region.

But wait! In order to properly rough it through all those terrains, you’ll need to enable the front bar stabilizer disconnection. Yup, you read that right! When you’re finessing through the turbulent territory, you’ll need a vehicle with wheels that can independently sustain contact to the ground! The front bar stabilizer instantly disconnects regardless of the method. In a flash, it automatically reconnects when you kick your speed back up to 20 miles per hour so you can keep riding wild. It has other schwanky perks like a heated steering wheel and 12-volt power connections and a Molle strap system for extra, secure storage.

Also, who else can say that their car is “torture-tested”?

To be Ford Tough, Requires Ford Care

The Ford Bronco is resilient, so you can stay safe. The highly anticipated Bronco model comes with a pre and post-collision safety system. The operation scans the road to identify vehicles or pedestrians that could result in unfortunate collisions. For an added level of defensive driving, the Bronco has got your back by utilizing the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system. The cameras placed on the front, rear, and mirrors of the vehicle provide a 360-Degree view for the driver! This Ford also comes with blind-spot and lane departure warnings. The 2021 Ford Bronco certainly is for the thrills of your outdoor adventures. It’s undoubtedly equally as equipped for the city on the paved roads as well.

2022 Ford Maverick at Lake
  • The 2022 Ford Maverick is a hybrid truck that is small in size, but doesn’t compromise on any performance features.
  • Ford has two refurbished models that make for an eye catching and powerful lineup: the Ford Bronco and Ford Maverick.
  • Find the Ford Maverick for sale at Metro Ford of OKC.

Big news from the all-new 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid! Ford confirmed that the pickup is the first in America to surpass 40 gallons with 42 miles per gallon. Not only is this vehicle economically friendly, the price is only $19,995. This price is significantly lower than many other pickup trucks.

The Ford Mavericks Is Not Like Any Other Truck Out There

It is no surprise that trucks eat up gas and, for the most part, are not an economical purchase, but the new Maverick truck is practical, stylish, and bound to keep more cash in your pocket. The maverick is an alternative to the giant trucks and cheap SUVs that are constantly patrolling the roads we drive down everyday. To put it simply, the Maverick is a truck for individuals who enjoy driving a truck and do not want or need a half-ton vehicle taking up the entire garage. The Ford Maverick  is the perfect combination of a big truck that can haul and an eco-friendly vehicle that will give you the feeling that you are saving the planet, but still driving a truck.

The Maverick Is Small But Mighty In Power

The Maverick may be considered a small truck but it still packs a punch. It can still haul up to 1,500 pounds and tow 4,000. With the base price, this pickup is $10,000 less than the cheapest F-150, making it the most affordable truck ever. The chief engineer of the Ford Maverick, Chris Mazur, said in a news release, “”Our team set out to redefine what a truck could be with Maverick, and we’ve done that.”

The Maverick’s Cool Features That Will Make You Want To Buy One

Taking a look into the XLT, the Maverick has a “flex bed” that provides function and flexibility on long hauls. Although it may be smaller than a larger truck bed, it is still very useful. It comes with built-in threaded holes, a variety of tie downs, and a flip-down tailgate making the bed 6.0 feet. The next cool gimmick is the back seat. Across the three seats there is a generously sized storage bin that can fit things to fully inflated volleyballs and toolboxes. Ford has developed FITS (Ford Integrated Tether System), which is a T-shaped slot that is meant to support Ford official accessories such as cup holders. Overall, the Maverick is stacked with a wide range of storage areas throughout the vehicle.

Ford Has Had A Great Year When It Comes To New Vehicles

It has been a big year for Ford with their rendition and restoration of the Bronco, and now the Maverick. Getting these vehicles on the market is very exciting for customers because both provide an array of editions and accessories that appeal to a wide audience. Ford has always been a frontrunner in vehicles, especially trucks. The Maverick is the cheaper alternative and still functions and runs like a big truck, but is price savvy like a Ford Focus.

The 2022 Ford Maverick Is Perfect For Towing And Adventures

Oftentimes, trucks are limited to its abilities when it comes to more difficult terrain. However, the Maverick is a perfect truck for going on adventures. It has exceptional gas mileage, efficient all-wheel drive, and amazing storage space. The Maverick is lightweight and agile, only weighing between 3,500 and 3,700 pounds. The big question is: can the Maverick really do truck stuff like towing? And the answer is yes. It has a max payload of 1,500 pounds which is comparable to a mid-size truck, and both engines come with the standard 2,000 pound tow rating, and it can be upgraded to 4,000 pounds with an additional purchase of the EcoBoost 4K package. Overall, the Maverick can haul stuff with ease while driving smoothly.

Come Into Metro Ford To Get A Look At The Maverick

If you are looking for the perfect, eco-friendly vehicle that can haul, the Ford Maverick truck is for you. Come visit us at Metro Ford if you are interested and we would love to chat with you and get you excited about the 2022 Ford Maverick Pickup Truck. Our Ford cars for sale includes the Ford Maverick, Ford Escape, Ford Expedition, Ford Bronco, Ford Transit, Ford Explorer, Ford F-150, Ford Mustang, Ford Ranger, and the Ford F-250.

Blue 2022 Ford Maverick

As Ford released their 2022 Maverick in early September, it has gained extreme popularity. With the low MSRP of $19,995, buyers have quickly become intrigued and reserved this pickup as their newest vehicle. Many have said this pickup is exceptionally comparable to the Honda Civic which has a similar price point. The Maverick has been in the works for around a year now and has many looking forward to it. Compact in size, the Ford Maverick will soon be seen on the road.

Value Oriented Model

This pickup has a low starting price that is very appealing to buyers. The first week it became available, it obtained around 36,000 buyer reservations. The estimated 40 miles per gallon also plays into the number. Small compact pickup trucks like the Maverick seem to have a market of their own. An affordable, small truck has not been seen on the market in years. Ford offers this pickup in three forms, Lariat, XL, and XLT. As the high number of reservations does not directly correlate with sales, Ford has seen increasing demand so far.

The base Maverick XL has a starting price of $19,995. The XLT and Lariat will also be seen on the market for the affordable prices of $22,280 and $25,490. Ford has expanded their selection with these options and increased the features. The 2022 Ford Maverick is the first ever standard full hybrid pickup in the U.S.

Back in 2021, the Ford Bronco was a huge success. The Bronco gained 190,000 reservations and became increasingly popular. With the retro and vintage feel of the original 1965 Ford Bronco, the 2021 model included a number of features that were intriguing to many buyers. If the Bronco is any indication of the 2022 Ford Maverick’s success, there will be no shortage of paying customers.

The ongoing chip shortage is one delay that the Bronco ran into during production. With the Maverick going on sale in the coming months, many are hoping this won’t become an issue. Many automakers in the U.S. are struggling with this shortage, and have been hit hard with the effects. Certain manufacturers have halted production entirely.

Interior Design

The Ford Maverick has many smart and convenient designs making it very attractive to buyers. Storage bins under rear seats offer great spots for equipment, tools, or anything the owner needs. Split armrests provide a sleek and comfortable design. The truck’s cabin is very useful with the thought out texture design. The dash has a stone like texture and useful technology. Safety features include automatic emergency brakes, high beams, as well as blind-spot monitoring.

The Ford Maverick Is In High Demand

Ford is planning on the Maverick to be fully reserved by early November due to popular demand. Nearly sold out, Ford has seen great success with this pickup so far. Many amazing features, affordable price, and compact size has made this pickup a market of its own. Ford is looking forward to this vehicle going on the market in the coming year.

Buyers looking for great fuel economy, affordable price point, as well as compact pickup size should look into the 2022 Ford Maverick. This pickup has been extremely reliable and has held its value with its owners. Ford has expanded their selection with different models of the Maverick. With the base Maverick XL starting at $19,995, the 2022 Ford Maverick will be the cheapest pickup on the market. Designed for convenience, this is a great pickup for someone looking for bang for their buck. The standard hybrid powertrain, bed design, and front wheel drive unibody platform is extremely economical and realistic. The Maverick provides buyers with a number of capabilities and features.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach E in Red
  • The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E went through extensive testing that has earned it the Electric Vehicle of the Year award from Car and Driver.
  • It’s performance offers an extended-range battery, RWD, and has a range of at least 300 miles on a single charge among other desirable features.
  • Find the 2021 Ford Mach E Mustang for sale at Metro Ford of OKC.

The 2021 Mach E will be the first major change to the Mustang legacy in over 50 years. After a three week testing period Car and Driver has given this electric Mustang the Electric Vehicle of the Year Award. It beat Tesla, Porsche, Audi, Volvo, and Nissan in the process. In accordance with Ford’s new Electric Vehicle Strategy, the Mustang Mach E will have improved productivity, a competitive price-point, and lower cost of ownership.

Engine & Performance

Ford offers this Mustang with standard or extended-range batteries. Both options are available with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. The California Route 1 Mach E is equipped with an extended-range battery and RWD. It has a range of at least 300 miles on a single charge. This vehicle is not just for cruising, though. There are two versions that satisfy even the most intense 0-60 time fanatics. The Mach E GT has a 3.8 second 0-60 acceleration while the GT Performance Edition does it in 3.5 seconds. Both versions produce 358 Kw (or 480 horsepower) and at least 600 lb.-ft torque.

Hau Thai-Tang, Ford’s chief product development and purchasing officer, had this to say: “The Mustang Mach-E wholeheartedly rejects the notion that electric vehicles are only good at reducing gas consumption, people want a car that’s thrilling to drive, that looks gorgeous and that can easily adapt to their lifestyle – and the Mustang Mach-E delivers all of this in unmatched style.”

Charging & Pricing

Ford has spared no expense in creating the largest public-charging network in the nation. 12,000 charging stations and 35,000 plugs are spread across the U.S.. This is to ensure that no Ford EV driver will ever run out of charge. All stations and plugs are accessed through the FordPass Charging App or the on-screen dashboard in each vehicle. Even though an extensive public-charging network is vital for on-the-go customers, Ford recognizes that most charging is done at home. To accommodate this, every Ford EV comes with a Ford Mobile Charger which is capable of charging the Mach E from 10 % to 80% in 45 minutes!

Matt Stover, Ford director of charging, energy services and business development had this to say: “The fact that most of our customers will plug in at home is a key advantage to an all-electric vehicle. We will deliver a charging experience that is hassle-free whether you’re at home or on-the-go.”

For information on the prices and models available, as well as which trim model Car and Driver recommends based on tests, a graph is included below:

Technology & Interior

The Mach E Mustang comfortably seats five adults and meets the  size standards of a modern, luxury SUV with an ample, 30 cubic feet of cargo space; which doubles when the rear seats are put down. There is even an extra 5 cubic feet of drainable, storage space below the hood. Perfect for holding ice and keeping any beverage at a refreshing temperature.

The 15.5-inch interior screen is the face of an all-new communications and entertainment system called SYNC 4A. SYNC 4A ensures navigation, music and connecting your smartphone is faster and easier. The system is based on operating a smartphone rather than classic menu options, therefore the interface is extremely intuitive and easy to use. Other convenience features include wireless Apple CarPlay and the ability to unlock your car with nothing but your phone.

Our Final Thought

The Ford Mach E Mustang has earned six high-profile awards from Car and Driver, Cars.com, AutoGuide, and AutoWeek. The limited First Edition Mach E has already sold out. Whether or not later generations of EV Mustangs will retain the same demand and merit, only time will tell.

  • After almost 40 years, Ford has electrified the loved Ford F-150 Lightening, making it the first electric work vehicle.
  • Power and fuel efficiency are the main highlights of this new and improved F-150 thanks to its electrification.
  • The electric Ford F-150 price starts at $42,000 and is for sale at Metro Ford of OKC.

The time has finally come. Ford, one of America’s biggest vehicle manufacturers and sellers has announced they have electrified the F-150, into an electric workhorse. Many brands have been trying to take advantage of EVs instant power, long ranges, and advanced technology. Companies, like Tesla have been one of the few brands to offer vehicles with these features at a price point that is affordable. Until now. It’s time for truck owners to take advantage of the future and say hello to Ford’s all-new 2021 F-150 Lightning.

Engine & Power

Ford’s F-series has been its top-selling truck model for over 39 years… which is a perfect showcase of how reliable & loved this series truly is. Taking inspiration from Ford’s Lightning series during the ’90s & early 2000s, the 2021’s powertrain setup with the smaller pack gives 426 horsepower, which is more than enough for immediately powering the wheels when hitting the gas or towing heavy objects (we’ll talk about that topic later). Opting for the bigger pack increases the electric motors’ total output to 563 horses, perfect for those who want even more power and better handling (we know who you are).

Both configurations of the Lightning have a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain setup that is rated to output a massive 775 ft-lb of torque. That’s 205 more than the F-150’s new PowerBoost hybrid V-6! And don’t worry for you truck owners who like a little bit of speed either! According to Ford, the 2021 Lightning is capable of reaching 60mph in less than 5 seconds.

And speed wasn’t the only thing Ford paid attention to when creating this model. The 2021 F-150 Lightning is to be one of the best handling trucks you can buy this year.

Extended Range Battery

When equipped with the Extended Range battery, the Lightning is expected to be capable of towing 10,000 lbs with a 2,000lb max payload capacity. Drivers will also be able to see how much they have loaded in the truck with Ford’s onboard scales. This is displayed on the touchscreen. There’s even a brand new Pro Trailer Hitch that automatically backs the truck up to hook up a trailer.

Fuel Economy & Pricing

Two lithium-ion battery packs are available with this year’s model. A Standard Range pack, targeting a 230-mile EPA-estimated range, and an Extended Range battery that provides 300 miles of range. While Ford hasn’t publicly stated the pack’s capacities, we’re estimating them to be around 115 kWh and 150 kWh respectively.

While the range numbers there may not be that impressive, Ford’s 2021 electric truck is available with advanced technology packages that allow the 150-kilowatt battery to come with a DC fast charger that is capable of adding 54 miles of range in 10 minutes &  charge from 15 to 80 percent in 41 minutes! So getting the two batteries includes, back up to 100%, should be a simple and quick process when you have errands to run. In fact, the battery setup on Ford’s new electric pickup lineup is so good, they state they Lightning is capable of providing a home up to 3 days of power during an electrical outage! Once the power in your home is back on, the vehicle will automatically switch back to standard charging. Now that’s a good backup system!

The Lightning will be on sale in the spring of 2022 with a base model starting around $42,000 and the XLT version at $55,000. Pricing for the other trims is still TBD, however we expect the Lariat to come in around $59,000 and the Platinum around $70,000. The price is expected to approach $90,000 fully loaded. As one of the most exciting categories, technology has been a major game changer. And Ford made no exceptions with the 2021 Lightning. It’s equipped with a 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster and 12.0-inch touchscreen. The Lightning provides some of the most eye-catching design choices and functionality ever seen with American trucks. The higher trim levels have an even bigger 15.5-inch vertically oriented touchscreen. It’s powered by Ford’s Sync 4A infotainment system and a physical control knob. This touchscreen displays all the engine performance, HVAC controls, media playback, and more that you’ll need when driving.

There are four drive modes installed on this series: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and a Towing mode. Each mode will change the shifting, suspension, and acceleration of the vehicle depending on the task you are trying to do. This is helpful when you have multiple projects going on. A fake propulsion sound is going to be pumped through the cabin to make up for the lack of “rumble” when the engine is on.

Our Final Thought

This is a brand new series of truck models from one of the most (if not the most) popular truck manufacturers in the world we’re talking about here. So premium performance and reliability are important factors that Ford heavily takes inspiration from when creating Lightning. With a slew of technology features to keep you safe & entertained a next-generation electric dual-motor engine setup, and modern power capabilities, the 2021 Ford F-150 Lightning is a top contender in the truck department. It’s perfect for those looking for the future of manpower and increased savings in electric power over gas/diesel.

  • The hybrid 2021 Ford EcoSport has undergone minimal design changes, with the main upgrades being the performance.
  • Two different engine options are available with this new model, offering a new intelligence feature: “Intelligent 4WD”.

New year, new updates as Ford would say for its steadily improving daily driver, the 2021 EcoSport. The EcoSport is Ford’s method of providing a crossover SUV that’s affordable and offers a helpful list of modern safety & technology features. The mix between new interior features and reliable engineering makes the EcoSport a top choice.

Engine & Performance

Ford offers two different engines with the EcoSport this year, a 123-hp turbocharged three-cylinder or the optional 166-hp four-cylinder. Both engines share an efficient and reliable six-speed automatic transmission. While acceleration lacked at times when needing to hit the gas suddenly, the EcoSport still managed to feel quick and peppy when driving. The three-cylinder engine is capable of towing up to 1,400lbs. For those who need a little more towing power, the four-cylinder engine adds 600lb towing capabilities, totaling to 2,000lbs.

What is easily one of the most exciting features of the 2021 Ecosport is Ford’s newest feature they are calling “Intelligent 4WD.” This interesting addition allows the Ecosport to take advantage of detailed and helpful data like the wheel speed, steering wheel angle, accelerator pedal position, and the current type of environment the vehicle is driving on to offer advanced AWD driving assistance during times that you need better traction and power. Ford even implemented a non-roll hill feature that works with the braking system to hold the vehicle in place for up to two seconds while you transition your foot from the brake to the accelerator.

Fuel Economy & Pricing

The EPA estimates the standard three-cylinder engine provides up to 27 mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway. It beats many of the competition in terms of making trips to the local gas station. On the other hand, the four-cylinder engine is expected to provide up to 23 mpg city and 29 on the highway. However, what we found interesting was the fact that the four-cylinder engine actually tends to perform better with overall mpg during real-world tests. During our test, we observed 30 mpg with the four-cylinder, and only 28mpg with the three-cylinder.

Driving Safety Updates

Ford offers a multitude of available and standard safety features. These features are one of the biggest attractive points for the 2021 Eco. A large list of features including interior airbags, ABS braking, electronic stability control, and hill start assist fill the EcoSport. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and 180-degree parking sensors are also available. The 2021 EcoSport earned a four-star crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), however it hasn’t been tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). More information will be released on the NHTSA’s rating soon.

Interior Technology & Entertainment

Ranging from entertainment inclusions to performance luxury additions, the 2021 EcoSport has it all. Available features like the power moonroof, ambient lighting, and an 8-inch LCD touchscreen with Sync 3 Apple Carplay & Android Auto compatibility help turn a daily commute into a vacation getaway. A 3-month trial subscription is even included for all models so you get all the entertainment needs including ad-free music, plus a variety of news and sports channels. For those who have kids, the Ford MyKey feature helps a ton for parents who want to encourage their kids to drive responsibly. You have the option to program your key to a restricted driving setting. It can mandate and monitor safety belt use, limiting top speed and decreasing audio volume.

Our Final Thought

The 2021 Ford EcoSport performs well against other subcompact crossovers, especially in the areas of technology and cost. Many crossovers start at a minimum of $25,000, or more. Price is what makes SUVs and the like a difficult market to get into for people on a budget. But Ford’s newest model starts at a low cost of $21,240, thousands of dollars below the industry standard. The addition of eco-friendly technology features and simple controls make the Eco a strong competitor for those who want all the standard features of 2021 without breaking the bank.

The Ford Bronco, if you’ve never heard of it, you are about to be introduced to a whole new breed of performance trucks made to impress. And if you have heard of it, boy have we got some good news for you! With a whole new slew of retro designs, modern technology, and impressive off-road capabilities, the 2021 Ford Bronco holds its ranking as one of the best AWD off-road trucks. Not to mention Ford is offering buyers the choice between a two or four-door design.

Off-Road Performance

Some were sad to hear about the lack of a V8 engine in Ford’s renewal of their famous 1960’s model. The AWD four and six-cylinder engines available with Ford’s new model don’t get enough credit for how powerful they truly are. The engine in the standard trim has a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four churning up to 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. All of this is run by a seven-speed Getrag manual transmission.

The optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 is tested and proven to make 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Ford has designed their first gears on the 2021 Ford Bronco (otherwise known as “crawl gears”) to match with the four-wheel-drive transfer case and provide an impressive 94.8:1 crawl ratio, a similar metric to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It carries an astounding 11.6 inches of ground clearance with 35” tires and is powerful enough to trek through 33.5 inches of water so getting over pools or deep areas, big or small, should never be an issue. Regardless of which engine you choose, the Bronco provides a smooth, stable ride on-road, or off, with plenty of power and performance tuning options that will make any outdoor enthusiast drool while they daydream.

Additional Upgrades

Ford put more than just power in the Bronco this time around. 35-inch mud-terrain tires, beadlock-capable wheels, electronic locking front and rear differentials, long-travel dampers, and a sway-bar-disconnect are also optional off-roading accessories designed to make getting from point A to point B easier than a walk in the park.

Tough On The Outside. Luxury On The Inside

For those of who loved the Jeep Wrangler’s “open disassembly” design, the Ford Bronco just got even better. Two and four door options with soft or hard tops are available and also include removable body panels so switching back and forth between the seasons can be nice and simple. A rack is built into the top of the dashboard for easy and quick GoPro Mount access, smartphone holding, and 12-volt charging capabilities. Ford Claims the doors are easily removable and simple to store inside the back of the four-door model. An 8 or 12 inch infotainment screen is centered in the middle of the dashboard with easy to access HVAC control and AppleCarplay, Android Auto, and Wifi hotspot support.

Cargo Space

A total of five seats in two rows comes standard in the 2021 Ford Bronco. It includes cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front-seat positioning. 32.5 cubic feet of space is available when the rear seats are upright. However up to 65.2 cubic feet are opened up when they are folded down, making it on par with most modern SUVs in regards to space. Because of its boxy design, the back of the Bronco provides plenty of room for bulky items that tend to usually not fit in these types of trucks. The rear window also opens independently of the liftgate, which is a huge help when loading or unloading smaller items.

Pricing & Safety Advancements

Ford has you covered in the field of modern day safety. The 2021 Ford Bronco provides all the safety needed to keep you safe on and off the road. While the NHTSA and the IIHS have yet to give a rating on Ford’s new release, the Bronco is inspired and based off of the Ford Escape. Also, we know that Ford will be including features like automatic high beams, parking sensors, and advanced equipment. All of which makes rock crawling & trail driving much safer. More information on safety coming soon!

Price & Trim Models

The Ford Bronco’s revival is coming this summer in up to seven different trim models. Starting from $28,000 and going all the way up to Ford’s premium off-roading & luxury mode, “First Edition.” Ford also provides a competitive but limited powertrain warranty in case anything happens. What is included can be seen below:

  •  Limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles
  •  Powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles

For the price, the 2021 Ford Bronco seems to be a pretty killer deal for those who like off-roading ventures. Not to mention those who would just love one as a daily driver (I know I would). Ford is currently full for reservations on their First Edition trim models.

What We Think Overall

Ford did a fantastic job of reviving the Bronco series. It has all the new and upgraded features that an off-road enthusiast would dream of plus more. Also, it offers the safety and comfortability features needed to truly feel like an optimal experience. It has a base asking price of $28,000 and plenty of performance/accessory upgrades available.

There’s a new sheriff in town! The 2021 Ford Expedition is handcuffing attention and throwing away the key by keeping their fans completely locked in with what’s next.

The Expedition is known for exceeding all expectations for a full-size SUV. It’s only right to brag a bit as there is nothing ordinary about the Ford Family. This full size beauty is available in nine colors Oxford White, Rapid Red, Agate Black just name a few. Also the 2021 model has five trim levels. Such as, XL, STX, XLT, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum. The standard trim has become a lot more accessible this year with the new XL trim. The upgraded XL provides perfect seating for five and is affordable. The upper trim levels have a wide ranging options for the interior taking the expedition from premium to luxury. The SUV can also be customized and transformed into a small RV for drivers.

Interior Comfort

The comfortable interior is what we all can’t get enough of! The Expedition is large and in charge. The vehicle can sit 8 passengers comfortably, who likes to be elbow to elbow anyways? Absolutely no one! Say goodbye to no room car rides and say hello to car space! Everything is bigger and better when talking about the upgraded model. It’s so spacious, sleek with large air vents for climate control in the front and expanded three-zone climate control for the rear sections of the vehicle. Comes with the chrome dashboard accents, panoramic sunroof, and heated ventilated front seats. Oh yeah! This is such a big deal. The Expedition also has optional features like the dual-headrest rear-seat entertainment systems and a lot more.

Technology

The 2021 model leads with confidence in every feature structured into the vehicle. Technology runs the world and Ford is never late to the party, offering the Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology. This amazing feature accommodates the driver with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot information system, lane keep system, rear backup camera and auto high beam lighting.

Have you ever driven on a dark road that seems like it has no ending? The auto high-beam headlamps are lifesavers for sure. The Auto high-beam headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They can also sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers. The headlights limit any distractions from driving. How awesome is that? This feature has the drivers back as soon as they reverse out the driveway heading out in traffic. Although it provides a good amount of protection never forget to buckle up, keep your eyes on the road and enjoy the ride.

There’s so much that technology can do! The FordPass Connect allows Ford owners and passengers to enjoy the 4G LTE in vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot, powered by AT&T. Up to 10 devices can connect to the hotspot at once and the FordPass is accessible to keep track of your Wi-Fi data usage. The hotspot is also available up to 50 feet outside the vehicle.

There’s no place like home or is it? The Dual-Headrest Rear Seat Entertainment System provides a video experience that allows passengers to watch their home cable programming on either of two video screens or handheld devices. The system can play DVDs, plug in a gaming system, stream from a mobile device and can watch tv live. This feature is available on XLT and up.

The Power

Although, we admire the size, cool features and variety of colors we can choose from. It’s the power behind the Expedition that makes it a full circle for all of us. Ya’ll know what I’m talking about, yes you guessed it! The engine *insert fire emojis here* Yes! The 2021 model is continuing with the single engine option from previous years. Like the old saying, “If you have a good thing you hold on to it.” oh and word on the street is there’s potentially a diesel option being released. Shhh let’s just keep that between us though. The 2021 Ford Expedition is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine in the standard build.

The engine can get up to 375 horsepower and around 470 in-ft of torque, with power pushing 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft torque on the platinum trim. Assisted with the 10-speed automatic transmission, this engine makes the Expedition a powerful workhorse with just a ton of capability. This engine pulls out it’s Popeyes muscles and flexes with the ability to tow almost 9,300 lbs. There’s no secret to why it is best-in-class maximum towing. You heard right, best in class towing with Class-Exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist. If you need to tow a large trailer, the standard 3.5L EcoBoost is the one to get the job done with ease.
